Disposable nappies take 500 – 600 hundred years to decompose. They are made up of petrochemicals, plastic and latex that pollute our planet. In New Zealand alone we use over one million every day. In USA they are the third largest item in landfills, and contaminate the water table. Cloth nappies use energy to wash and dry. Elimination Communication is simple and effective, but most importantly it is psychologically and emotionally beneficial for the baby. Parents usually want what is best for their child even if it means learning something new.
